Invitation for Bids: #01-1819 Breakroom and New Studio Space Renovations (Expired 5/30/19)



The Lake Worth Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) as operator and lessee of the property located at 1121 Lucerne Ave. Lake Worth FL 33460 (HATCH 1121), has a need for interior renovation work and other miscellaneous activities (see general scope below). The CRA wishes to convert an existing 280 (approx.) sq. ft. kitchen into a small storage room and small studio space. These two spaces are to be divided by new interior framing. Most of this work includes demolition, plumbing and carpentry.

Each proposer should review existing detailed plans which can be obtained from the CRA office prior to the submittal date.

The selected Contractor must insure each of the requirements listed below, is accomplished on this property, and the cost of each are included in the quote/bid. If any of the requirements are unclear, do not assume the answer, please inquire with the CRA and receive a written response:

  1. Secure any permits (when applicable) from the City of Lake Worth Beach and pay the associated permit fees. The selected contractor is responsible for obtaining all releases from the City of Lake Worth Beach.
  2. When obtaining permits and garbage dumpsters, ensure the City knows the property is owned by the City of Lake Worth Beach and the project is being funded by the Lake Worth CRA.
  3. Ensure the public right of way is clean upon completion of the work
  4. Repair any and all damage to the sidewalks, curbs and city streets/alleys that resulted from the activity (pre-existing conditions will be noted)
  5. Schedule a post-construction inspection with the CRA to insure compliance with the contract requirements.
  6. Due to the fact that this is a culturally and historically significant building, the contractor is responsible for any damage done to the structure, plumbing, façade or areas not requested in this bid.
  7. Failure to meet the milestone dates could result in violation of this agreement

Contractor shall proceed with caution, avoiding damage to neighboring property, City & State sidewalks, and streets. No debris will be allowed to accumulate on streets. Contractor shall NOT block streets or otherwise impede traffic flow without obtaining prior authorization from the City...
